Message Well as some of you might have read last night my stock turbos went to crap on me yesterday and i am now going to replace them w/ bigger turbos, bigger downpipes, and new ACT 6 puck clutch.

But that brings me to my next issue -- my stock engine just turned 130k yesterday as well. I had it compression tested back in May and it was an average of 145 on a COLD engine. But w/ all i've done to my car (NOS and the rest) i'm wondering how smart it is to put lets say GT 2530's on my engine w/ 130k miles on it.

Now my next question is this -- what/how/where/who/how much should i do about putting in a different engine? It looks like w/ the turbos, clutch, and dp's along w/ instal i'm already looking at 6k so i'm wondering how much more an engine would be. My mechanic said its basically the same price either way since he has to pull an engine and then put 1 back in.

I don't want to spend a huge amount of money on this -- i also never plan to become competitive w/ racing or anything plus this is not my daily driver -- its my garage queen, but i do like to drive it fast and occastionally take it up to Bmore (300 miles each way). Are there good engines to buy used, or rebuilt, or special engine packages??

Sorry for being ignorant on this topic -- but i just dont know much about the engine options i have and could really use some good advice on this.

Thanks,
Wagz
